Hey! I'm Danielle
An ex-accountant turned photographer who loves dogs, being outdoors and exploring.
Adventurous and chilled weddings and elopements are what I'm all about.
My wedding style is timeless, modern and romantic. Every wedding is unique, no two are the same so I like to get to know my clients so that their photography looks and feels like them.
I always say my approach to weddings is 80% candid, documenting everything as and when it happens. Those natural moments captured with you hardly noticing I'm there apart from perhaps a little direction.
The other 20% is made up of a few things, firstly the family photos -
I know, I know; not the most fun part of the day but you know your nan is gonna love them. With a bit of organisation these can be done in around half an hour and I promise some of these photos will be the ones you'll cherish in years to come.
The rest of the day is what I like to think of as photos that don't feel like having your photo taken. They're not completely documentary because I'll usually prompt you or give you something to do, but they'll be fun and are always some of the best shots of the day!
I'm super laid back and down to earth, guaranteed to make you laugh (mostly AT me rather than with me) and I LOVE clients with the same vibe. I'm not just another wedding supplier, I want you to feel like I'm just another friend at your wedding that happens to have some cameras.
I absolutely hate the phrase 'ideal client' because to me that feels like it gives the impression I only photograph a certain 'look' of people or certain type of wedding and that's just rubbish. My ideal client is any race, gender and sexuality and comes in all shapes and sizes. They plan big classic weddings in venues, rustic or alternative weddings in barns and industrial spaces, or they may even elope.
The thing they all have in common?
They're all lovely, friendly, down to earth people who just want to have a good time. They mostly have dogs too but I won't hold it against you if you don't.
Couples that book with me:
- Are usually pretty outdoorsy and not scared of a bit of rain on their wedding day
- Are always chill, relaxed and don't take themselves too seriously
- Usually like alternative music and styles but don't want to labelled as an alternative wedding couple
- Can have a bit of banter and a good laugh with me and won't be offended by occasional swearing
- Trust my judgement and go along with my ideas, even if they don't feel comfortable in front of a camera
- Respect that what I do isn't as easy as just clicking a button on a camera, and value that I'm never going to be the cheapest option (I promise I'm worth it though)
