Charlotte and Ben decided to get married in Vegas!
This super cool couple decided to elope to Las Vegas with just their closest family and friends. They contacted me because they wanted some photos when they came back with their 2 lush dogs and the rest of their family that couldn't fly out and of course I couldn't wait to do this for them!
Shoot #1 - Pembrey Country Park
Charlotte and Ben chose Pembrey Country Park for the first of their post wedding photoshoots as it's very special to them. Aside from being their favourite place to walk the dogs, Ben actually even proposed on this beach! I love how they included such a meaningful location into their images.
After a few reschedules (can't trust the Welsh summer!) we went down to the beach at golden hour one Thursday evening and practically had the place to ourselves. We got some lush images of Charlotte and Ben with their two (slightly crazy) pups and of course we did some couples portraits too. The day was a little cloudier than we had hoped but we were just happy to see some sun!
Shoot #2 Rhossili Bay
Charlotte and Ben decided to split their post wedding shoot into two so that the dogs weren't hanging around and getting bored during the family photos.
For their second shoot they decided on Rhossili Bay - one of the most beautiful beaches in South Wales. Here we did a few extra couples photos but mostly focused on family shots. We got lucky with the weather as this was the only day without any rain BUT my God it was windy! In fairness to everyone though - they all embraced it and we got some lush family photos, plus some epic veil shots! We had to do this shoot during the middle of the day where the light was a little harsher, the photos are still amazing but you can see the difference time of day makes when you look at these and the ones we did at golden hour.
I promise photographers aren't being awkward by asking you to shoot at sunset - we have our reasons!
Every bride needs a 'Sonia'
To give us a hand with the dogs and rounding up the family, Charlotte asked her Bridesmaid Sonia to help us out.
Sonia was absolutely amazing - she was the best dress fluffer and bag holder, she fixed Charlottes hair in the wind, helped hold the veil to get some amazing movement and always had everyone laughing. She even got tonnes of behind the scenes photos and videos so Charlotte had so much content to share from these shoots even before getting her final edited images back from me!
Every bride needs a bridesmaid like Sonia on their wedding day.

I will always love a big wedding - but there's something so so special about intimate elopements and if I'm being truly honest, these types of shoots, outdoors in nature, are my absolute favourite.
