The Wedding Day
A stunning Autumn Wedding for 2 of the loveliest people I have ever met! This wedding was everything, full of smiles, laughter, fun and even a few happy tears. Every detail from the venue down to the flowers and colour schemes flowed so well together and made for a beautiful day.
The Venue
The backdrop for this beautiful wedding was Court Colman Manor House. Situated just outside of Bridgend, South Wales - the manor is nestled at the foot of the Garw Valley and is a peaceful country house for all occasions.
The house in itself is a picturesque backdrop but the grounds are full of perfect little features for some incredible images. I personally love the driveway, the tree swing and the breath taking views from the terrace that overlook the countryside.

Bridal Prep
The Bridal suite in Court Colman is one of my favourites as a photographer. It's lovely and bright and is decorated to a very high standard.
I always recommend that brides use the bridal suite to get ready in the morning if it is available as it can make such a difference to the prep photos!
While Elise was getting her make up done I spent the morning taking detail shots and capturing all the bridesmaids having fun! Then it was time for some standard matching PJs photos!

Lets Get Married!
The ceremony room at Court Colman is beautiful. It's full of grand pillars and stunning Georgian architechture and can seat ample amounts of day guests.
Entering from a door at the back of the room, your bridal party walk down the aisle towards the windows where a teary eyed groom will be waiting...

Photo Time!!
You really are spoilt for choice when it comes to photo locations at this venue. For Elise and Nathan I chose to keep the family photos close to the manor so that grandparents didn't have to walk too far and we could round people up easily from the bar! (always the hardest part of photo time!)

EXPECTO PATRONUM!
Now if you've followed me for a while you know that I like to add a little extra to all the weddings I shoot at. This can be something like a champagne pop, smoke bombs, confetti or sparkers!
I usually try to get sparkler shots done before the drinks start flowing too well or you end up with groomsmen pretending to be Harry Potter the second you light them, like what happened with this wedding!

Father Daughter Dance
I LOVE THESE.
This was very important to Elise on her wedding day. It's a widely done tradition in America but I am noticing more and more of our couples here in the UK are starting to add them in.
There's a few ways you can do this - first is to start with the father daughter dance and then dad essentially 'gives daughter away' again to her new husband for the first dance. Or, like Elise did, you can do the first dance as normal and have it be interrupted mid way through by dad. Either way works out so sweet and I think its an absolutely lovely thing to do.

What an amazing day for an amazing couple
I was honoured to have been a part of Elise & Nathan's wedding day. I had so much fun celebrating with them and capturing their special day.
