Intimate Wedding Venue in Bridgend, South Wales

Last weekend I had the best time photographing a wedding at the stunning Great House Hotel in Laleston. The beautiful listed building, dating back to the 15th century has been restored to a very high standard and provides the perfect mix of original features and modern quirks! The staff could not be more helpful in making sure the day went smoothly, working with me to make sure I knew exactly how the day was going to run and helping me with ushering guests out for a confetti throw!

Josie & Rob wanted an intimate wedding, with just 14 of their nearest and dearest attending during the day - and it was absolutely perfect. I have never seen such happy guests at a wedding, everyone had a great time and was up for some banter even when they were sick of seeing me pop up camera in hand!

Josie & Rob are an alternative couple and wanted something a little bit different in their photography - so we opted to do some smoke bombs and fun shots with a champagne pop! They didn't want anything too formal so our couples session was very relaxed around the grounds, making the most of the unique features of the venue and the light, and showing off their wedding vans too!

Josie was perhaps one of the most organised brides I've ever worked with, sending me a list of all the formal shots (in order of grandparents to siblings) as well as a table plan for the meal and seating chart for the ceremony - I could not have asked her for more, and it made the day run so smoothly.

I had the best time at this wedding, it had the best music, some of the best food I've had at a venue and some awesome people!
